What the college says
This course is run as a one year course, equivalent to an AS level, and contains 2 modules which result in 2 examinations in the middle of the summer term. The compulsory Module 1 contains: Analysis and representation of data, Maths for personal finance, Estimation, Critical Analysis of given data and models. All material is taught and applied to case studies, containing real life problems. For Module 2, there are then a number of optional modules to choose from, which can be decided upon, based the best fit for each particular group of students.
What you need to get on
Core Maths can be combined with either the academic pathway or applied technical pathway. All students who are NOT studying A-level Maths will study Core Maths.

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
