Students who have studied Theatre have progressed to a wide variety of careers and study paths. As would be expected, a significant number go on to study drama at university.What we?ll studyThis course involves many exciting components such as devising, group text performance, monologue/duologue performance, watching live theatre and analysis of performance texts from the viewpoint of an actor and a director.In addition to this you can get involved in the annual college production and you will receive support that concentrates on acting technique, preparing you for drama school auditionsPast productions include; Les Miserables, Oliver, The Sound of Music, West Side Story, The Wizard of Oz, Chicago, Phantom of the Opera, Hansel and Gretel and Miss Saigon.

What you need to get on

General College entry requirements. GCSE English at grade 4 or above.An interest in performance work either from the perspective of an actor or a designer is essential, with grade 4 or above in the subject if taken at GCSE.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
