This course is designed to introduce learners to the travel and tourism industry, customer service operations, destination knowledge, and employability skills linked to careers within the sector. The programme combines classroom-based learning with practical activities, research tasks, and industry-related projects. This is a full-time study programme. Through a range of different assessment methods, underpinning knowledge will be assessed against industry benchmarks to ensure learners are equipped with the knowledge and skills to progress into employment or further study. This is a full time study programme. You will study 8 units which includes Customer service, Travel Agency Operations, Coastal Tourism, Airports and Airlines, UK Travel and Tourism, Tour Guiding , Specialist Tourism and Hospitality.

What you need to get on

Level 2 - 4 GCSEs grade 3 or above or a vocational qualification level 1 in the chosen subject. You will be interviewed for this course, should be enthusiastic about working in the travel and tourism industry and able to participate in work experience.

How you are assessed

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

What this level means

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
