This Travel and Tourism course will provide you with the key skills and knowledge needed to gain employment in this fast growing industry. The Travel and Tourism industry is a dynamic and fast growing sector accounting for over 2.1 million jobs in the United Kingdom. This course will give you the skills and knowledge to work in airports, airlines, tour operators, travel agencies, hotels or other accommodation, tourist information centres, tourist attractions, cruise line companies, holiday centres, conference or events organisations. You will be taught by a team of lecturers with a high level of commercial knowledge and subject experience. You will be introduced to the UK�s travel and tourism sector and shown exactly how important it is, while digging deep into the businesses that make up the industry�s backbone. We will also show you destinations around the world as we examine resorts in Europe, South America and Australia! Good English and Maths skills are essential for most jobs and courses you will progress onto. The Government has made it a priority for students to improve these skills and this course programme will reflect this key aim. What you need to get on
Achieve 4 GCSE's at grade 3 or above, including English Language and maths.
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
