The City and Guilds Level 2 Technical in Floristry is an intensive, two day a week, course designed for you if you are looking to start a career within the floristry industry. Through this qualification you will learn about different flowers and plants and how to look after them. You will also learn that there is more to floristry than flowers and that for florists to be successful, they need to understand their tools, environment and the finishing touches that make a difference. With this, you will develop an understanding of design principles and the skills needed to apply these to the design and creation of floristry products. You will gain an understanding of how floristry business operate and develop skills needed to interact with customers and identify their needs. This course is designed and funded for those who wish to study floristry at a commercial level and offers progression from our Floristry Foundation course. As part of the course you will need to complete 150 hrs of work experience (on average an additional day per week), which will be valuable for finding future work opportunities in this competitive industry.
