This course is for students wanting to enter the industry or prepare for employment as a florist. The course covers a wide range of skills and tasks at a level 2 standard including art and design, flower and plant care, hand-tied designs and floral arrangements, wedding and sympathy designs, window displays and work experience.
What you need to get on
For students who have completed Creative Crafts or the Level 1 Diploma in Floristry who work in the industry, or are training towards working in the industry. Applicants require three GCSEs at grade D or above including Maths and English.
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
