This course will give you a solid knowledge base as well as supporting you to develop essential hand skills that will enable you to progress onto an apprenticeship or onto a higher level of study in either Operations and Maintenance or Aircraft Maintenance.

What you need to get on

5 GCSEs grades 3-9. Interview and reference. This qualification is suitable for 16-18 year olds progressing directly from YR 11 and also for 18+ learners wishing to enter a career in Engineering or secure an apprenticeship.

How you are assessed

Paid work with training. You are an employee first and a learner second.

What this level means

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
