The Level 2 Musical Theatre coursed enables you to develop your skills in Acting, Dance and singing. It is part of the UAL Performing Arts & Production suite of qualifications at level 2. The Level 2 Diploma in Performing & Production Arts has been designed to provide students with The skills, knowledge and understanding necessary to progress to further study and training in a range of Performing and production Arts subjects, including acting, singing, dancing, musical theatre, lighting design, prop design, stage management, directing and others. Most students will have to option to progress on to a level 3 in a related Arts subject (such as L3 Dance, Musical Theatre or Acting) subject to achievement in the final project and advice & guidance at the end of the year. What will I study? The units you will study are likely to include: Core units: Unit 1 Introduction to performance Unit 2 Introduction to production Unit 3 Communicating with an audience Unit 4 Staging a performance Unit 5 Contextual research for performance and production Unit 6 Performance skills and practice Unit 7 Production skills and practice Unit 8 Personal project and presentation Unit 9 Producing and performing to an audience
What you need to get on
Entry requirements for new students - Four GCSEs at Grade 3/D or above or a Level 1 qualification with English and maths at GCSE grades 1-3/G-D or Functional Skills Entry Level 3. You must attend the Workshop Session in the summer. All applicants will be invited for interview Equivalent qualifications will be considered.

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
