This course gives you the opportunity to learn key engineering principles, allowing you to develop your knowledge through practical activities and theory sessions. You will study a combination of mechanical and electronic engineering disciplines in our dedicated workshops and classrooms. Following successful completion of this course, you will achieve a BTEC Level 2 Certificate in Engineering (equivalent to one GCSEs).
What you need to get on
Four GCSEs at grade D/3 (including English Language) and grade 4 in mathematics.
How you are assessed
One subject in depth, assessed largely through coursework and projects.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
