What the college says

The GCSE delivers the Key Stage 4 Programme of Study for science and consists of fundamental ideas of the science for example: Cells in Biology or atomic structure and bonding in Chemistry. Skills handling units in Physics which are taught across each of the three science subjects Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Core practicals are integrated into the main specification content so you can see exactly how these investigations can be included alongside the content to bring theoretical learning to life and the application of knowledge in the workplace.

What you need to get on

Specific GCSE /Level 2 BTEC grades entry requirements: Three GCSEs at Grade 3 and one at Grade 2 including GCSE Science at Grade 3 and either GCSE English or GCSE Maths at Grade 3. An enthusiasm and aptitude for science related subjects.

How you are assessed

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
