This course is ideal for creative thinkers with aptitude for engineering and good at solving problems using application of mathematics.
What you need to get on
4 GCSEs at grades 9-3 (A-D) including maths at grade 4 (C) or above and English. Functional Skills English Level 1 is accepted. Alternatively you may have a Level 1 Diploma in a related subject, along with the English and Maths at the required levels.
How you are assessed
One subject in depth, assessed largely through coursework and projects.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
