This qualification is for you if you are a 16-19-year-old learner, who wishes to work towards becoming an Electrician in the building services industry. It has been designed to deliver a high level of occupational skills and provide a platform from which to progress through further learning through an apprenticeship programme or into employment. This vocational route at level 2 is a vital step towards becoming a competent Electrician. The qualification will help you gain an understanding of the skills required within the Electrical sector. You will cover compulsory aspects such as: * Health and Safety * Electrical scientific principles * Electrical design installation * Electrotechnical sustainable technologies
What you need to get on
A minimum of 4 GCSE Maths & English graded 9-4. Level 1 award in Electrotechnical
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
