What the college says
This qualification is for students who wish to work as an electrician in the building services industry. It has been designed to deliver a high level of occupational skills and provide a platform from which to progress into an apprenticeship programme or into employment.
What you need to get on
You will need: 4 GCSEs at grade 3 (D) or above which must include a grade 4 (C) or higher in maths You will be invited to an interview to help us ensure the course is right for you.
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
