What the college says

This course is designed for those who are, or are going to be volunteering or working in an educational establishment (classroom based) and want a qualification that proves your skills and knowledge. This qualification will enable you to work with children and young people aged 4-19 years, covering topics such as promoting positive behaviour, supporting a range of learners, helping children's social development and building resilience, safeguarding and health and safety. This course requires you to be in your placement for a minimum of 1 day per week and on average 4-5 hours of self­study per week for research and written evidence.

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
