If you are passionate about food and enjoy baking, this could be the course for you. You will develop your practical skills in our state-of-the-art Food Centre, making a wide range of bread and confectionary products. This course includes a valuable four week work placement. You will also gain essential industry knowledge and have the opportunity to complete food safety and health and safety certificates.
What you need to get on
4 GCSEs at grade 3 or above, or Foundation Level 1 in Food Preparation and Cooking.
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
