What the college says

This course would give you the basic skills and knowledge necessary to enter the plumbing industry as a trainee plumber or a plumber's mate. It wont make you a qualified plumber but it does form part of the training you would need to become fully qualified in the future. Level 2 will suit you if you demonstrate aptitude, or have some basic plumbing knowledge and skills either through industry experience or if you already have a level 1 plumbing qualification.

What you need to get on

GCSEs at Grade 4 (C) or above or a level 1 plumbing qualification. Youll have an interview and an aptitude test to check that this is the right course and level for you.

How you are assessed

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

What this level means

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
