Your course will be a mix of classroom-based theory sessions and workshop sessions that explore practical skills.Topics include electrical principles and processes for building services engineering, scientific principles for domestic, industrial and commercial plumbing, common plumbing processes, cold and hot water systems, sanitation and drainage.You will hone relevant workplace skills such as building rapport with others and problem-solving.
What you need to get on
Three GCSEs at grade C or above including maths, English and science or; A level 1 qualification in a relevant subject area, passed with merit or distinction grade - plus maths and English grade D or above, or functional skills level 1 maths and English.
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
