The Level 2 Diploma in Women’s Hairdressing is a vocational qualification which is ideal for those seeking a career as a hairdresser/stylist. The majority of your learning will take place in the College’s own well-equipped salon which is a real working environment. You will carry out assessments on real paying clients in line with commercial service timings. It is beneficial to undertake voluntary work experience in an external salon. This qualification is recognised by the UK’s lead hairdressing professional association and will prepare you for a career as a hairdresser/stylist.

What you need to get on

For this course you will need to have achieved following: · 4 GCSE’s grade 3 or above where possible to include English & Maths · Hairdressing or skills test/interview outcome On receipt of your application to study this course you will be invited to attend an admissions interview with a member of the teaching team to discuss the course and its requirements further.

How you are assessed

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
