This qualification is aimed at anyone who is working or is keen to work within healthcare and social care, or within education or support roles. This course provides you with the opportunity to develop knowledge and understanding needed to work with individuals with learning disabilities. Principles of safeguarding and positive risk taking are covered, along with gaining awareness of the autistic spectrum.

What you need to get on

To be eligible for funding, you must live in England and have resided in the UK or EU/EEA for the last 3 years, must be aged 19 or over, must not have previously studied the course you are applying for or another similar course and must not currently be enrolled on another government-funded education programme. If you are aged between 19 and 23 - you must hold a full level 2 qualification If you're not eligible for funding, you can purchase the course online if you are over the age of 16.

How you are assessed

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
