This course will provide learners with the strategies that can be used to care for and protect children correct procedures to follow when caring for children and young people and why it is essential to have an understanding of how to care for children properly. This qualification will give learners a basic understanding of childcare and education parenting and babysitting. It will also help them to make an informed choice about working with children and young people.

A willingness to learn and eagerness to care for children and young people either at home or through employment.
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
