This aim of this course is to provide learners with knowledge and understanding across a range of key subject areas in health and social care and to support progression into further learning or the workplace.

What you need to get on

Must have at least Level 1 English and willing to work or be working towards Level 2, basic ICT literacy and competency. Must be able to complete written work, engage in group and project work, deliver short informal presentations to tutors/assessors. Must have availability to have 100% attendance. Must be over 19 years of age.

How you are assessed

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

What this level means

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
