What the college says
This qualification is designed for anyone who wants to gain a deeper understanding of the role of a mentor and develop the skills needed to become an effective mentor. Learners will complete an application form and be invited to an initial interview with the course tutor to discuss thier level of understanding currently, their learning expereinces, their reasons for wishing to do the course and future aspirations.
What you need to get on
Learners must be working in an early years setting where they are mentoring or carrying out supervisions in the workplace. Will be required to attend 4 online training sessions and one workplace assessment.
How you are assessed
Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
