This qualification is suitable for anyone who wants to develop a deeper understanding of the role of a mentor and to develop the skills needed to be an effective mentor. The qualification is ideal for those currently in a mentoring position and for those with aspirations to become a mentor in the future. The course provides an insight into the role and practice of mentorship and gives opportunities to plan for mentoring, to undertake mentoring sessions and to review your own practice as a mentor. The course also covers legal and ethical requirements needed to be an effective mentor.
