This course will give you the opportunity to gain a broad understanding of art and design. You will develop/enhance basic drawing, painting and mark making skills, with elements of design and craft, including ceramics and glass, and 3D software.
What you need to get on
Minimum of 4 GCSEs at Grade D or above (if this does not include English and maths these MUST be studied as part of the Level 2 programme) or Level 1 Functional Skills equivalent in English and maths; successful interview and initial assessment; successful completion of Level 1 programme (progressing learners).
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
