p The Animation Level 2 course is a one year introductory course that will allow you to explore key areas of animation and illustration. During this course you will learn all the skills and techniques you need to progress onto Level 3 Art course. /p p The main topics you will be looking at are : character design digital illustration storyboard and script writing 2D animation animation research and principals of movement and expression. /p p This program allows you to study English and Maths GCSE alongside this course. /p

What you need to get on

p You will need 4 GCSEs at grade 3 or above or a Level 1 Diploma in Art & Design at merit grade. /p p span style=font size: var( bs body font size); font weight: var( bs body font weight); text align: var( bs body text align); No previous experience is required although it is desirable. However for interview you maybe asked to create a small portfolio of artwork in order to demonstrate to the Study Programme Leader your creative ability. /span /p

How you are assessed

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
