This course is available to people under the age of 25 who are starting or developing a career in business administration. It is suitable for new entrants to the workplace and existing employees whose role involves providing administrative support within a business or organisation. Learners will develop the practical knowledge, skills and professional behaviours needed to support the effective operation of a workplace. This includes communicating with colleagues and customers, producing documents, maintaining accurate records, using digital systems, organising work, managing information and completing administrative tasks efficiently. The course is relevant to administrative roles in organisations of different sizes and across a wide range of sectors. On completion, learners will be better equipped to work confidently and professionally in an administrative role and may progress to positions with greater responsibility or further training in business administration, customer service, team leadership or management.

What you need to get on

Applicants must be under 25 and employed, or preparing to be employed, in a suitable administrative role. No previous business administration qualification is required. Applicants will complete an initial assessment and may need additional English and maths study. They must meet apprenticeship funding and eligibility requirements. Acceptance is subject to an assessment of their job role, existing knowledge and suitability for the programme.
