Choosing Sport level 1 will give you the opportunity of exploring the world of sport and the exciting opportunities the sector has to offer. This is a great introductory course to a vast range of new exciting sports and will provide you with the skills to either progress on to level 2 or to work. You will benefit from a wide range of subject areas including exploring how the body works and training for fitness, you will also have the opportunity to lead a session. You will start to gain new skills, learn new techniques and tactics in a range of sports. You will also have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience within the sector which will really boost your CV. Work placements can range from teaching P.E., assisting in coaching sport with guest speakers to support your growth throughout your Level 1 Sport course. Whilst completing your qualification you will be given time to get involved in tenrichment and daily lunchtime clubs with the continuous opportunities to play sport. You will also be given the opportunity to develop outdoor skills through a residential during which you will exploring the caves in the evening and night time canoeing with many more activities. You will benefit from our excellent campus facilities including 2 x sports halls, a 25m, 6 lane swimming pool, a spacious 80 station fitness suite, a dance and aerobics studio, a spinning studio and a performance laboratory.
