Course may be subject to change. The Pearson BTEC Level 1 Introductory Certificate in Art and Design is part of a level 1 full-time study programme and consists of mandatory and optional units. In order to achieve the qualification, students must achieve in all five units. This programme will support you to develop your skills and confidence, improve your maths and English skills (where necessary), enhance your citizenship skills and develop vocationally relevant skills in the key areas of art and design. The programme has been designed to ensure that you develop the necessary skills, knowledge and behaviours to progress. Successful completion of this course leads towards a nationally recognised qualification and allows you to progress into employment or onto a level 2 programme in further education.
