This course is suitable for anyone who enjoys working outside and is considering a career in landscape construction, or those already working in the industry who want to gain a recognised landscaping qualification. This course covers the basic principles of hard landscape construction including fencing, paving and brickwork. You will also be instructed in the safe use of landscape machinery. Topics include: Establish and maintain plants outdoors, Understand the basic principles of plant science, Setting out from a plan, Construct and maintain garden fences, Construct garden walls, Construct landscape foundations and surfaces, Introduction to landbased machinery operations, Undertake work related work experience, . At Merist Wood College we have over forty years of experience in providing specialist training in landscape construction and amenity horticulture and coupled with our award-winning Learning Philosophy, we are able to offer a practical education, tailored to your needs. Practical work is carried out in our dedicated landscape workshops which are fully equipped for the modern landscape.
