Come and experience the life of a zookeeper. Our holiday club is designed for young aspiring animal keepers (aged 6-13 years) who want to help care for our animals. During the experience you will help with feeding some of the animals, learning how to handle them, undertaking health checks, providing husbandry for the animals and making enrichment for them.Each day is slightly different, for those wishing to book more than one day.

What you need to get on

You will need basic literacy and numeracy skills, and some basic knowledge of animal care. You should be aged 6-13 years.Parents/carers are welcome to stay for the initial start of the session to help settle children in but cannot stay throughout the experience. Children are to be collected at the end of the session at 3 pm from the drop off point.

How you are assessed

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
