What the college says
The Introduction to Lexis programme is a full-time programme for 16 to 18-year-old students whose first language is not English. The programme is for students who may arrive in the UK during the course of the year or who have relocated during the year. The programme also welcomes ESOL students who have been unable to obtain formal qualifications while at school.The overall aim of the programme is to help students improve their English and gain qualifications to enable them to progress to further education or employment.
What you need to get on
No formal qualifications are required. Students are interviewed and their English language skills are assessed before being offered a place on the programme.The course is free to the majority of students, unless they are classed as an international student (more details available on request).
How you are assessed
Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.

A supported starting point if exams have not gone well yet.
