What the college says
Are you passionate about working within your local community? Do you want to take the first steps to a career in youth work or community engagement? The introduction to youth work will offer you an insight into the principles of working with young people, whilst having the opportunity to engage with young people in these settings. You will receive first hand experience working within a youth work setting at the CATCH Community Centre as part of your course.
What you need to get on
Two GCSEs at grade 2 including English and maths. Have an appetite to attend CATCH and a range of other volunteering placements in the city.
How you are assessed
Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
What this level means
A first step that builds towards Level 2.
