Introduction to Caring Professions is suitable for learners who are working, or wish to work, in the health and social care and early years and childcare sectors. If you are interested in working in Health, social care or with children and young people this course will enable you to explore the areas to support you to progress into the vocational areas. As part of the course you will develop the skills towards your chosen career. You will also study English and maths as part of your course support you to progress. While studying you will have work experience in a working environment to develop practical skills and learn from experienced practitioners. This course also provides the opportunity to develop transferrable skills, such as communication and teamwork. This is engaging and enjoyable introductory course that supports progression to L2 qualification in Early Years or Health and Social Care. In order to complete work experience in a caring environment, you will need to undertake a DBS which is a UK legal requirement when involved in regulated activity with children or vulnerable adults. The DBS check will state any criminal convictions you hold and, if appropriate, whether you are barred from working with children or vulnerable adults. This will be at a cost of �44.00. You will also be required to wear a uniform in work experience with a college log at a cost of approx �10. What you need to get on
You will need a grade 3 in English Language with 2 other GCSEs at a grade 2 or above including maths.

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
