This one year course covers a wide range of sport-related topics and provides opportunities to gain additional qualifications in English and maths. It is ideal for those who want to deepen their understanding of sport and progress to higher-level courses. You will be assessed through a variety of methods, including practical assessments - where you'll apply newly acquired knowledge and skills - written assignments, and two externally assessed exams. This will equip you with the knowledge needed to pursue a career in sport. Throughout the course, you will study key areas such as anatomy and physiology, fitness, practical sports, sports psychology, lifestyle and well-being, and performance analysis. You will also explore the technical and tactical aspects of specific sports and learn how to enhance players' abilities in a sporting environment.

What you need to get on

This course is only available to 16-18 year olds. Four GCSEs at grade 3-9 including English Language or Maths. If you are not studying a traditional GCSE programme, we accept alternative qualifications like Functional Skills and vocational courses. If
