This is an exciting course designed for those who are interested in using digital technology in the production of creative designs. You will develop sought-after design and production skills required for the rapidly evolving and dynamic digital media industry, covering key areas of digital arts including web design, 3D modelling, illustration and game design. This is a specialised pathway to progress to an advanced level 3 qualification. You will develop your skills using industry-standard equipment and software including Adobe Suite, Blender and DSLR cameras.
What you need to get on
GCSE English Language and Maths grade 3-9. OR Successful completion of a relevant Level 1 course at Merit level. Both options require a portfolio of evidence of media work.
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
