This course is designed to give an introduction to modelling and animation using 3D Studio Max. This industry-standard program is used in computer gaming, architectural visualisation, advertising and in films such as 'Toy Story' & 'Lord of the Rings'. 3DS Max is an extremely powerful tool which can be daunting for the beginner. However, because this course is structured in a clear and systematic way students easily gain a firm understanding of the basics. The course is designed as self-contained unit for those interested in acquiring essential skills in 3DS Max, but can be followed by the Advanced and then the Animation courses in terms 2 & 3 respectively for those aspiring to a more professional level. Students completing all three courses will be eligible to qualify for the 3D Studio Max Modelling & Animation Award. There will also be the opportunity for individual tutorials and advice to help you develop your career portfolio.
