What the college says
This two-year course is equivalent to 1 A Level (Introductory Diploma) This qualification is designed for learners who are interested in an introduction to the study of creating IT systems to manage and share information alongside other fields of study, with a view to progressing to a wide range of higher education courses, not necessarily in I.T.
What you need to get on
A minimum of 5 subjects at GCSE Grade 4/BTEC Level 2 Pass or higher including a Grade 4 in GCSE English as well as a Grade 5 or higher in Maths (4 maybe acceptable subject to successful completion of an assessment) Additionally, due to the technical elements of the course, Science, or IT at a 4 or equivalent. It is recommended that due to the written demands of this course a Grade 5 in GCSE English is preferable.
