This is a one year full time course supported by periods of developing practical skills on the College�s equine yard. All aspects of horse care are covered throughout the year with a mixture of practical and classroom sessions.
What you need to get on
4 GCSES at Grade 3 including English Maths and Science (Combined or Biology) OR a Level 1 pass in a related subject plus English or maths and both subjects must be at least grade 2 / Level 1 Functional Skills.
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
