What the college says
Students have the opportunity to study aspects of the past in breadth, through periods or themes and in-depth. The role of significant individuals, societies, events, developments and issues within a broad historical context are examined. During the course students will develop their key historical skills of causation, consequence, source analysis and judgement. They will also refine their wider transferable skills of debate, written and oral communication and organisation.

Students must have achieved a minimum of a grade B in GCSE History for entry onto this course
