History offers the opportunity to refine your skills of communication, analysis and research. It is this unique combination of disciplines which makes A Level History both demanding and a prestigious qualification for both universities and employers. History students enter a wide range of careers including law, banking, politics, the civil servicen and the media to name but a few.

What you need to get on

Students should have at least 5 grade 5s at GCSE, one of which should normally be history. However, students who do not have history at GCSE may be considered.

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
