What the college says
History is much more than a study of the past. History is fascinating and exciting. It offers an invaluable insight into present events and equips students with vital transferable skills which are increasingly sought by universities and employers. Many of the topics we study are very different from our own experiences and yet they have been very influential in shaping the world in which we live. Studying history provides us with the skills, the knowledge and the understanding to successfully navigate the modern world and to understand our place in it.
