What the college says
To promote an interest and understanding of History and its impact on the modern World. We aim to give students a range of experiences in the study of the subject including a variety of time periods and both breadth and depth studies. A level skills are similar to GCSE, but we will teach you to develop them to a higher level. We will also encourage you to work more independently, and you will need to be ready to join in discussions. Students enjoy topics in more depth than at GCSE and arguing different historical interpretations. Unit Summaries 1H Tsarist and Communist Russia, 1855–1964 2B The Wars of the Roses 1450-1499. Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
