History equips you with the skills required by top universities and expected by employers of all kinds. You will be encouraged to conduct work independently and to manage competing demands on your time effectively. Moreover, you will gain valuable skills of argument and oratory as well as being encouraged to develop your own written style. More idealistically, History equips you with the knowledge and understanding of the past necessary for an understanding of the present and ability to influence the future.

6th Form entry: The overall 6th Form entry requirements are: a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grades 9-4, including a grade 9-4 in English. Subject specific entry: Grade 4 in English and grade 5 in History.
