What the college says
Our aim in selecting the options below is to provide pupils with a spatially and temporally balanced view of History in order that their understanding of the past is not solely based on English history or the twentieth century. Altogether, the units chosen constitute a wide ranging survey of key events in the shaping of the modern world and provide an interesting range of approaches to the development of various historical skills, providing a solid foundation in the subject should the student wish to continue at degree level.
