What the college says

History is the study of past events. History A Level is an opportunity to learn more about the past and gain a deeper understanding of issues we face today. In History A Level you will learn about 2 periods of history in depth with one focusing on British history and the other focusing on world history. You will also have the opportunity to complete your own independent study into the British Empire. The study of History will not only inform you of past events but also help you understand why the world has developed in the way it has. If you enjoyed the study of History at GCSE level, enjoy discussing current affairs and would like to know more about the world, then History would be a great A Level choice for you.
