You don't need any qualifications to enrol but you do need to be 19+ and have a real willingness to learn. Once you start we'll give you all the advice and support you need to help you decide which of the various career options is right for you. We'll also signpost you to help with English and maths if you still need these qualifications to progress. In fact, we can put together a package of learning which will ensure you have exactly what you need to progress onto an Access to HE programme and beyond. At the same time, we will build your academic skills and your confidence so that when the time comes you're ready to move on to the next stage.

What you need to get on

There are no specific for this course. You will however need to undertake literacy and numeracy assessments and if you don't already have GCSE Maths and English you will study these qualifications alongside this course.

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
