Yr12 complete 9 units in the first year. Compulsory units are Unit 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 48, 7 and 8. If all these units are complete they can bank them gaining 6 units = 1 A level. Y13 - complete 18 units over the 2 years including the compulsory units. Some students can bank 12 units = 2 A levels if certain circumstances makes this possible. Students who complete all 18 units gain 3 A levels at PPP, MMM, DDD or D* D* D* or a combination of these grades dependent on grades achieved for each unit. Unit 6 is over 2 years as it includes 100 hrs of Work experience. If they complete P6 and P7 of this unit they claim unit 48 in yr 12 and Unit 6 in yr13 once the 100 hrs work experience has been completed and signed off. This unit is equivalent to 2 units.
