Why study this Technical Diploma in Health and Social Care? This qualification is for you if you are 16 years old or over, and want to apply your skills and knowledge in health, social care and childcare. You can choose between an Adult Care or Childcare pathway.This qualification is not only about babies, the elderly and the ill; employers in health and social care require their employees to deal with a range of people, tasks and environments whilst maintaining the safety, security and wellbeing of the people they are caring for. Therefore, this qualification will provide learners with the skills, knowledge and understanding to progress into employment, either through an Apprenticeship or directly into work. Learners will learn by applying their skills, knowledge and understanding to tasks or activities that happen in health, social care and childcare environments, and to the people that use the services including individuals who require care and support, their families and advocates, colleagues or members of the general public.
