On this study programme, you will be taught in a real working environment, learning in The Zone’s professionally run commercial salons, where you will implement services to develop your skills in women’s and men’s hairdressing. You can learn outside the College as well, gaining inspiration and knowledge from going on annual trade show trip, work placement and show your own innovation and skill by participating in our dynamic Annual Creative Hair Show.
What you need to get on
Three GCSEs at Grade 3 including maths and English Language, or a Level 1 qualification plus maths and English Language at Level 1.
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
