Politics is an essential aspect of social life. Whenever interaction takes place politics is never far away. Politics arises from the different beliefs ideas and interests that we hold. The conflict that can emerge from these competing interests is managed through politics. The study of Government and Politics enables students to gain a greater understanding of political life and the political systems of the UK and of the wider world. You will study from a range of topics selected from the nature of democracy and political participation key institutions and principles of UK government global politics and global political issues. Students will develop an insight into political beliefs central to an understanding of the modern world. Hours of lesson per week: 4.3 Indicative group size: 20

What you need to get on

You will need six full GCSEs at grades A* to C including English Language

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
